Important Reminders
We are so excited for our Cultural Traditions Brunch tomorrow morning! Please bring your dish, ready to be served with any required serving utensils. Julie Van Rosendahl is looking forward to returning and we are so excited to see her again! She will be writing an article for the Globe and Mail that includes our grade one study of food traditions and has asked to bring photographers with her to get pictures of children with their dishes! If you have not signed the media release form your child will not have their photo taken. We are looking forward to this exciting celebration of our learning!
Today we:
-Started our day with music.
-were word detectives and hunted for word wall words in out poem of the week.
-practiced defence strategies and chest/bounce passes in gym.
-had a lesson with our student teacher Miss Connelly about respect.
-continued to practice our ten buddy facts with games.
- practiced ng words on white boards.
-learned some new mindfulness breathing techniques-Spider-Man breathing, dolphin breathing, a mindfulness poem and read and discussed a book called “What does it mean to be present?”
