we will be exploring the "right/ite letter patterns this week. Can your child remember what sound right/ite all make? Please watch the videos under the word work session and practice these words a little bit each night. Please remember that the main priority is on learning to read these words by sight and once your child becomes confident with this they can practice spelling them!
Today We:
-had literacy stations.
-were word detectives and found our letter pattern and word sounds in our poetry.
-had music with Mrs. Dennill.
-did a word problem that had many different solutions and challenged ourselves to see how many different solutions we could come up with!
Had our final PoWer Hour and Showcase. In PoWer Hour we:
-made a clay pot and a crayon canvas.
-finished off our dream catchers.
-did a reverse back kick and showed off our moves to parents in little dragons.
-went into a maze in minecraft.
-finished off the battle scenes in World War 2.
-made cards in Give.
-played Chinese Checkers.

March Book Orders are coming home today. Please return by Friday March 10.
Please and Thank you
Rekenreks are an excellent manipulative, visual math tool that help children develop efficient and flexible number sense. Students will be crafting their own in upcoming weeks! If you have some available, please send in large(ish), flat pieces of cardboard. The fronts and backs of cereal boxes are perfect for this. Thank you for your help with our math crafting!
I would also very much appreciate a volunteer or two to help glue, duct tape, and hole punch foam mats once the cardboard is collected. I will provide all materials and this can be a take home volunteer project. Thanks very much for considering!
