-looked at a new bullseye for writing. This bulleye added a new goal, "I can add juicy words and details to my writing.
-had a wonderful, focused independent writing time in journals.
-read aloud the book The Boy Who Called Fabulous and discussed how it is important to use all different words as juicy words and not repeat the same over and over again!
-we played a patterning game where we created patterns and the partner guessed what the pattern was and how many elements were in the pattern.
-played a hockey game in gym.
-practiced using good time management in order to try to finish our creative colour wheels. We were given four hours for this art project. Ask your child how his/her time mangement was during this project!

Canstruction
Canstruction Club just began this week with the grade 5 and 6’s who signed up! We will be designing and creating a structure out of non-perishable food items as part of a contest in partner with the Mayor’s 28th Annual Christmas Food Drive for the Calgary Food Bank. The project is called Canstruction Jr. We are asking for donations to help us build our structure and are specifically looking for green items such as cans and boxes that are green in colour. A variety of sizes would be great. Thanks in advance for your support with this! We look forward to showing your our finished product.
Please contact Mrs.Blanchard or Mrs.Hammond with with questions.
