Reminder:
Please send your child with a sturdy bag on Friday June 23rd to help them take home learning materials.
Highlights:
-In literacy, we wrote a letter to our future grade 2 teacher. On Wednesday, will be using Iris to create a video, using our writing to share about ourselves. On Iris our future teacher will be able to watch the video to get some insight about us!
-In math, we finished up our Sweet Shop centers and did a self-evaluation on our performance on each center. We also started discussing attributes of 2D and 3D shapes and comparing how they are the same and different.
-For Mindful Monday, we read a couple books about perspective. In a big group we took "bad news" and reframed it into "good news" and found the bright side. In our visual journals, we wrote something that was "bad news" and then found the bright side and wrote the "good news". Students had some great ideas how to see the good in a bad situation!
-In Physical Education we played a new game, Frogger. It was a great game for working on our teamwork and cooperation skills!
