-we will be doing a class valentine exchange tomorrow morning. Students are not required to bring Valentines but if they choose to exchange please make sure that they bring 19 for each member of our class and do not address them to individual students. Instead, they can write "To my friend" or "To my classmate" or leave the name section blank.
Words of the week are:
sing, bring, going, sang, sung, long, song, length
Due to the short week, we are continuing to explore the "ng" sound. Can your child name the sounds made by the ing, and, one, ung and eng clusters?
Today we:
-started our day with a singing practice to prepare for our trip to Atria.
-had a wonderful time filling the buckets of the residents at Atria Retirement Village with singing, reading and creating valentines crafts together!
-had music with Mrs. Dennill.
-did two science experiments, one where we learned about what happens when we eat with a plugged nose and another where we learned about the different tastes we can experience with our taste buds (sweet, salty, sour, bitter)
-did a beautiful pop art heart project!
