Reminder: Library tomorrow! Please bring your books so you can get some new books before the long weekend!
Highlights:
-In Physical Education, we practiced our dribbling skills. Working on having a soft hand, using our wrist and having bent knees. We played a game called Trap, where you dribble until you hear the whistle and then catch your ball with one hand.
- Searched for word wall words in our poem.
-In Math, we're wrapping up our number families. In our math journals, students created a picture, and four accompanying number sentences, 2 addition, 2 subtraction and then tried to write a story to accompany the picture. I loved seeing the creativity of the students!
-We continued reading The Spiderwick Chronicles. Our main character, Jared has a prediction that a fairy is living in the walls of his families new home.
-This afternoon, we looked at the art of Edvard Munch, whose famous for creating The Scream. We took our inspiration today from his painting called The Sun. We used pastels, water colours and salt to create our art. Tomorrow will get to remove the salt to see our finished work.
