we will be exploring the "right/ite letter patterns this week. Can your child remember what sound right/ite all make? Please watch the videos under the word work session and practice these words a little bit each night. Please remember that the main priority is on learning to read these words by sight and once your child becomes confident with this they can practice spelling them!
Today We:
-had literacy stations.
-did punctuation pause and rhyme time in our poetry.
- wrote our own word problems that use ten buddies to solve. (ex. Mrs. Smith has ten shirts in her drawer. Some are black and some are white. How many could be black and how many could be white? Show as many ways as you can. Ask your child what his/her ten buddy problem was about.
-did tennis in gym.
-had french with Madame Pallesen
- learned about how people who are blind use Braille to read with their sense of touch. We made Braille alphabets using lentils and wrote some of our own words in Braille!
