- Our words of the week are: it, at, up, on, get. Please continue to practice these at home a little each night and continue to practice the short vowel sounds.
-We continued to practice our poem for the week called, Numbers, Numbers. We did rhyme time and found all of the rhymes in the poem and circled them in purple. If you say a word can your child tell you a word that rhymes with that word?
-We read a book called "The Name Jar" about a girl named Unhei who moved from Korea. Ask your child what happened with her name when Unhei first moved from Korea? What did Unhei discover about her name in the end?
-we did our daily calendar routine. Can your child read you the date looking at a calendar?
-we continued to work on printing our half moon letters and practiced printing the half moon letters. Your child has brought home their page to share with you. Let them explain to you how you can write each of these letters without lifting the pencil from the page.
-We worked on the number 6 today and saw how many ways we can make and represent six.
We had French! Be sure to check out Mrs. Pallesen's blog and take a look at all her fun videos and game links.
-We did art where we did splatter paintings of the first initials of our names.
