Our Words of the week are: by, try, really, very, happy, funny, many
we will be exploring y endings on words all week. Please watch the videos under the word work session and practice these words a little bit each night. Please remember that the main priority is on learning to read these words by sight and once your child becomes confident with this they can practice spelling them!
Today We:
-had literacy stations.
-did punctuation pause and rhyme time in our poetry.
-continued reading Matilda.
-did editing and revising in our writing to add more sensory imagery and adjectives and check for correct capitalization.
-had French with Madame Pallesen.
-did our winter ridge walk where we made sensory observations about the ridge in winter time, discussed the differences that we noticed in fall and winter and made a huge pile of snow!
-created sentences using as many of this weeks word wall words as possible.
