Our walking field trip went right until the bell so we did not have a chance to drop off things in the classroom. Please ensure that your child returns his/her visual journal and pencil tomorrow!
Our Words of the week are:
bike, like, here, hope, made, make, take, use, peace, ride, bike,
We will continue to explore words that have the "super E" . Can your child tell you how the Super E changes words? Please practice these a little each day. It is most important that they can be recognized by sight to read them. Once your child can read them please practice spelling them. This can be done through body spelling, chanting, making the words with play dough, drawing the words in sand and so many other fun ways! Please continue to review the Super E by watching Super/Magic E videos under word work on the blog.
Today we:
-had our second day of literacy stations.
-learned a game called Yoshi in gym.
-read a book called My Maps that gave an introduction to what a map is.
-continued working on our community groups pages in our sketchbooks.
-had a wonderful walk in Fish Creek Park with our buddy class. We explored how to sketch landscapes and write sensory observations.
In Mail Pockets:
-Nothing new today!
